contro l’estrazione mineraria di titanio nel Parco del Beigua e dintorni. Programma e info su come raggiungere il campeggio sono a fine articolo.
Chi Ben Comincia…
Dopo 44 anni la regione Liguria ha ceduto alle pressioni della C.E.T. (Compagnia Europea del Titanio) e ha aperto ai test per le operazioni di esplorazione e di scandaglio per la ricerca del Titanio sul monte Tarinè.
Le prime pressioni per ottenere una concessione, rilasciata e poi ritirata causa proteste, risalgono infatti al 1976; ora, con pazienza e perseveranza la C.E.T. è riuscita ad ottenere un primo via libera. La stima fatta è di un giacimento di titanio di 400 milioni di tonnellate che varrebbe tra i 400 e i 600 miliardi di euro di un metallo ambitissimo dall’industria moderna civile, ma soprattutto militare e tecnologica. A ciò si aggiungono i 500 milioni annui per la Regione beneficiaria dei diritti di estrazione.
Di fronte a simili cifre di guadagno la C.E.T. ha, in maniera sfacciata e che non lascia spazio a mediazioni, dichiarato: “Non molleremo mai, perché stiamo parlando del più grande giacimento del continente, forse del mondo intero. Stiamo parlando di una potenziale e inestimabile ricchezza, per tutti”.
Una dichiarazione sprezzante che però la dice lunga sulla loro determinazione e su quanto siano subdoli promettendo ricchezza per tutti (non crediamo che il tizio che dorme sulla panchina della stazione ne benefici e nemmeno le persone che vivono nell’area ad esempio allevando o coltivando).
Non si vergognano più di ammetterlo, queste aziende di profittatori¹.
Nel nome del profitto, sbavano sulle ultime materie prime; l’industria tecnologica, il capitalismo e lo Stato speculano sulle nostre vite e sul pianeta.
Da qui in poi si è aperto il disgustoso teatrino politico tipico di un Paese democratico tirando in ballo chi l’impatto ambientale da un lato, chi gli immensi guadagni dall’altro. I politici a favore sono quelli per cui il denaro e il lavoro vengono prima di ogni cosa, gli altri, che ora sono all’opposizione, devono per forza far finta di opporsi per non perdere la faccia. La conseguenza di ciò sono una marea di vuote chiacchiere, di dati scientifici incomprensibili e senza significato, nell’attesa di trovare un accordo che vada bene a maggioranza e opposizione. I primi allora si vanteranno dei mirabolanti risultati raggiunti in punti del PIL regionale e di occupazione, i secondi di aver condotto una opposizione onorevole, dura e decisa. Risultato: MINIERA REALIZZATA, BEIGUA DISTRUTTO.
Il no a questo progetto, deve essere un NO ideale che porti con sé una visione di mondo differente e inconciliabile con la loro; visione in cui la ricchezza non sia il denaro, l’accumulo di beni o il numero di like che ricevo, ma la libertà, l’indipendenza dalle strutture che ci legano anche e soprattutto quando queste ci rendono comoda e agevole l’esistenza.
A ciò bisogna aggiungere due concetti, forse desueti o considerati antiquati, ma più attuali che mai: lotta di classe e resistenza al dominio tecno-capitalista. Esiste un élite che determina le sorti del mondo arricchendosi e lasciando alla massa di oppressi scarti e disperazione; con ciò si intende che non basta portare una visione di mondo differente con sé, ma bisogna anche avere ben chiaro chi sono i padroni (anche se green), i politicanti interessati alla questione solo per il proprio tornaconto, ma sempre pronti a voltare le spalle e passare dall’altra parte alle prime difficoltà. Essi vanno cacciati con fermezza.
Un altro punto su cui bisogna fermamente controbattere è il mantra sempreverde del “quest’opera dà lavoro” ridistribuendo la ricchezza per tutta la popolazione; prima di tutto va controbattuto per come esso stesso viene posto e cioè in maniera ricattatoria, in un periodo per giunta in cui il lavoro è un tema sensibile. Ciò che viene lasciato a donne e uomini non è ricchezza ma un ambiente devastato e impoverito che porterà al conseguente degrado delle relazioni sociali. In secondo luogo il lavoro salariato è determinato dal capitale e dalle sue esigenze, ci viene imposto ma non è la nostra vita e in parte possiamo sopperire alla sua mancanza organizzandoci in altri modi per procurarci tutta una serie di beni che, nella maggior parte dei casi ci procuriamo tramite l’uso del denaro.
La sola possibilità di fermarla è mettere in atto un’opposizione decisa e radicale a parole e nei fatti, senza farsi problemi ad andare contro tutte le regole e norme che ci sono state insegnate, evitando di sedersi al tavolo della discussione democratica perché è un tavolo truccato che porta ad una sconfitta certa.
La delega, il dissenso simbolico, il limitarsi a proteste “secondo le regole” o peggio ancora utilizzando i canali virtuali sono falsi amici da cui bisogna guardarsi molto bene.
Appoggiarsi a vicenda, aiutarsi nel rispetto reciproco, a seconda delle proprie possibilità tenendo conto di quanto detto prima potrebbe essere una strategia funzionante.
Nessuno ha la bacchetta magica su come affrontare una situazione del genere, ma iniziare avendo chiaro come NON debba essere affrontata è già un buon inizio.

Mio padre non era un militante rivoluzionario, non era un grande pensatore o un musicista virtuoso, non era neppure, che ne so, una persona violenta, non ha mai alzato un dito su nessuno e nessuno lo ha mai alzato su di lui, non ha avuto una vita travagliata e neanche particolarmente sofferta. Era un uomo normale, un carpentiere. Ha vissuto la sua vita: emigrato al nord, ad Albenga, dalla Calabria, lavorato anche troppo, messo su famiglia, avuto due figli, costruito una casa e poi se ne è andato all’altro mondo, per fortuna parecchi anni fa, quando era ancora possibile andare all’ospedale a far le visite e celebrare i funerali come ci pareva. Con i testi che ho scritto dopo la sua morte, ci ho fatto un’azione teatrale, un monologo (no letture) con interventi corporei, un monocorpologo, della durata di un’ora circa. Non è un racconto biografico, sono immagini, quadri, ricordi, presuntuosamente direi, prosa poetica.

Capitalismo, guerre ed epidemie” a cura di Calusca City Lights, Edizione Colibrì Milano 2020 Quando il confinamento avrà termine e si uscirà dal bozzolo antivirus, tutti i lavoratori, quale che sia il loro sesso, si troveranno di fronte alla dura realtà. Il pericolo più grande non sarà costituito da questo o quel virus, ma dal capitale stesso. Dopo aver dimostrato la sua totale incapacità di anticipare e gestire la crisi, il sistema ne farà pagare il conto a coloro senza i quali non può raccogliere i suoi profitti: i proletari. Aumento della disoccupazione, riduzione del salario reale, penuria progressiva, militarizzazione della società. Dopo aver strombazzato a destra e a manca: Siamo in marcia verso sempre nuovi progressi, la classe capitalista ora martella: Siamo in guerra! Innanzitutto contro quanti si ribelleranno sfidando l’ordine socio-economico esistente. In primo luogo contro i proletari.

“Il vuoto oltre la civiltà”
Il periodo pandemico ha evidenziato ancora di più lo stato di dipendenza patologica dal sistema tecnologico. E a richiedere più vaccini, tamponi e sussidi è proprio il mondo militante di sinistra, in adorazione e in preghiera di fronte al dio del progresso e della scienza. Ma se i “rivoluzionari storici” hanno abdicato qualsiasi speranza di autonomia agli Stati e alle multinazionali del farmaco e dell’HI Tech, cosa ne sarà degli “eretici” di oggi? Nel dilagare ormai sconfinato delle teorie post moderniste che invadono i movimenti sociali proviamo a tracciare una via in rotta di collisione con la civiltà industriale moderna. Proviamo a parlare di inselvatichimento, di autonomia alimentare, di reti di supporto e condivisione al di là dei processi di mercificazione, e, poi, di reale autogestione della salute. La frattura emersa in questo periodo potrebbe essere l’occasione per frantumare molti miti dei rivoluzionari di ieri e di oggi. L’alternativa è un comodo e “militante” ritorno alla normalità.

Info Sul Campeggio
La tre giorni di campeggio si svolgerà a Piampaludo a 857 m s.l.m – comune di Sassello, Provincia di Savona.
All’interno del campeggio sarà presente una cucina autogestita, ci sarà la possibilità di utilizzare liberamente due griglie e condividere la cucina da campo, sarà presente una cambusa di base per organizzare i pasti condivisi (i pranzi di sabato e domenica); gli aperitivi saranno benefit.
Portatevi le stoviglie e il bicchiere, non avremo nulla di monouso, cerchiamo di non essere impattanti per l’ambiente, riduciamo la spazzatura al minimo.Portati la tenda e tutto il necessario per campeggiare tre giorni, la zona è raggiungibile in auto/furgone.

August 6-7-8 Liguria (Northern Italy): Camping against Titanium Mine
Three days of meetings, discussions and sharing
against titanium mining in Beigua Park and surroundings. Program and info on how to reach the campsite are at the end of the article.
Who Well Begins…
After 44 years, the region of Liguria has yielded to the pressure of the C.E.T. (European Titanium Company) and has opened the tests for the exploration and sounding operations for the search of Titanium on Mount Tarinè. The first pressures to obtain a concession, issued and then withdrawn due to protests, date back to 1976; now, with patience and perseverance, C.E.T. has managed to obtain a first green light. The estimate made is of a titanium deposit of 400 million tons that would be worth between 400 and 600 billion euros of a metal coveted by modern civilian industry, but especially military and technology. In addition, there are 500 million per year for the region benefiting from the extraction rights. Faced with similar earnings figures, the C.E.T. has, in a brazen manner that leaves no room for mediation, declared: “We will never give up, because we are talking about the largest deposit on the continent, perhaps in the whole world. We are talking about a potential and inestimable wealth, for everyone”.
A scornful statement that says a lot about their determination and how devious they are by promising wealth for everyone (we don’t believe that the guy sleeping on the bench at the station will benefit, nor the people who live in the area, for example by farming or cultivating). They are no longer ashamed to admit it, these companies of exploiters¹.
In the name of profit, they drool over the last raw materials; the technology industry, capitalism and the State speculate on our lives and the planet.
From here on, the disgusting political theater typical of a democratic country has opened, bringing into play those who consider the environmental impact on the one hand, and those who consider the immense profits on the other. The politicians in favor are those for whom money and work come first, the others, who are now in opposition, must necessarily pretend to oppose not to lose face. The consequence of this is a lot of empty talk, of incomprehensible and meaningless scientific data, waiting to find an agreement that suits the majority and the opposition. The former will then boast of the amazing results achieved in points of regional GDP and employment, the latter of having led an honorable, tough and determined opposition. Result: MINE REALIZED, BEIGUA DESTROYED.
The “no” to this project must be an ideal “no” that brings with it a vision of the world that is different and irreconcilable with theirs; a vision in which wealth is not money, the accumulation of goods or the number of likes I receive, but freedom, independence from the structures that bind us, even and especially when these make our existence comfortable and easy.
To this we must add two concepts, perhaps outdated or considered antiquated, but more relevant than ever: class struggle and resistance to techno-capitalist domination. There is an elite that determines the fate of the world by enriching itself and leaving the masses of oppressed people with waste and despair; this means that it is not enough to bring a different vision of the world with you, but you must also be clear about who the masters are (even if they are green), the politicians interested in the matter only for their own benefit, but always ready to turn their backs and go over to the other side at the first difficulties. They must be firmly expelled.
nother point that must be firmly challenged is the evergreen mantra of “this work gives work” by redistributing wealth to the entire population; first of all, it must be challenged because of the way it is posed, that is, in a blackmailing way, at a time when work is a sensitive issue. What is left to women and men is not wealth but a devastated and impoverished environment that will lead to the consequent degradation of social relations. Secondly, paid work is determined by capital and its demands, it is imposed on us but it is not our life and we can partly make up for its lack by organizing ourselves in other ways to procure a whole series of goods that, in most cases, we procure through the use of money.
The only way to stop it is to put in place a decisive and radical opposition in words and deeds, without having problems to go against all the rules and norms that we have been taught, avoiding to sit at the table of democratic discussion because it is a rigged table that leads to certain defeat.
Delegate, symbolic dissent, limiting oneself to protests “according to the rules” or even worse using virtual channels are false friends from whom we must be very careful.
Supporting each other, helping each other with mutual respect, according to one’s possibilities taking into account what has been said before could be a working strategy.
No one has a magic wand on how to deal with a situation like this, but starting with a clear idea of how NOT to deal with it is a good start.

My father was not a militant revolutionary, he was not a great thinker or a virtuoso musician, he was not even, what do I know, a violent person, he never raised a finger on anyone and no one has ever raised it on him, he did not have a troubled life and not even particularly suffered. He was a normal man, a carpenter. He lived his life: he emigrated to the north, to Albenga, from Calabria, worked too much, started a family, had two children, built a house and then he went to the other world, fortunately several years ago, when it was still possible to go to the hospital to make the visits and celebrate the funeral as we liked. With the texts I wrote after his death, I made a theatrical action, a monologue (no readings) with body interventions, a monocorpologist, lasting about an hour. It is not a biographical story, they are images, paintings, memories, I would presumptuously say, poetic prose.

When the confinement comes to an end and we emerge from the virus cocoon, all workers, whatever their sex, will be faced with the harsh reality. The greatest danger will not be posed by this or that virus, but by capital itself. Having demonstrated its total inability to anticipate and manage the crisis, the system will make those without whom it cannot reap its profits pay the bill: the proletariat. Increased unemployment, reduced real wages, progressive shortages, militarization of society. After trumpeting left and right: We are on the march toward ever new progress, the capitalist class now hammers: We are at war! “The void beyond civilization”
The pandemic period has highlighted even more the state of pathological dependence on the technological system. And to request more vaccines, tampons and subsidies is precisely the militant world of the left, in worship and prayer in front of the god of progress and science. But if the “historical revolutionaries” have abdicated any hope of autonomy to the states and the multinationals of the drug and HI Tech, what about the “heretics” of today? In the now boundless spread of post-modernist theories that invade social movements, we try to trace a path on a collision course with modern industrial civilization. Let’s try to talk about wilderness, food autonomy, networks of support and sharing beyond the processes of commodification, and, then, of real self-management of health. The fracture that has emerged in this period could be an opportunity to shatter many myths of the revolutionaries of yesterday and today. The alternative is a comfortable and “militant” return to normality.

Camping Info
The three days of camping will take place in Piampaludo at 857 m above sea level – municipality of Sassello, Province of Savona.
Inside the campsite there will be a self-managed kitchen, there will be the possibility to freely use two grills and share the camp kitchen, there will be a basic galley to organize shared meals (Saturday and Sunday lunches); the money raised with the “aperitivi” (“happz hour”) are gonna be benefit for prisoners.
Bring your own dishes and glass, we will not have anything disposable, we try not to be impactful to the environment, we reduce the trash to a minimum. Bring your tent and everything you need to camp three days, the area is accessible by car / van.
