Sabato 13 Marzo, ore 15.00: PANDEMIA COVID DA UNA PROSPETTIVA ANTISPECISTA ED ECOLOGISTA

Attraverso la proiezione di video e la lettura di alcuni testi si discuterà di come lo sfruttamento animale e della Terra è fortemente connesso all’origine, alla diffusione e alla “soluzione” del virus Covid-19. Si partirà dal fenomeno della zoonosi, per poi parlare dello sterminio dei visoni e infine affrontare il ruolo della sperimentazione animale nella produzione dei vaccini.

Sabato 27 Marzo, ore 15.00: RESISTENZA ANIMALE: COME ESSERE SOLIDALI? DISCUSSIONE SULLE PRATICHE DELL’ANTISPECISMO E DELL’ECOLOGISMO RADICALE

Verranno proiettati brevi documentari che raccontano le esperienze di ricerca della libertà di alcuni animali non-umani. A seguire vi sarà una riflessione rispetto alle modalità con cui si può portare solidarietà alle/i prigionier* non-uman*. Verrà aperto un dibattito sulle pratiche messe in campo nella storia della lotta antispecista. In particolare si discuterà dell’opposizione tra azione diretta e modalità che considerano il dialogo con le autorità.

Abbiamo riflettuto molto sulle motivazioni che ci hanno spint+ ad organizzare degli incontri politici nonostante la pandemia di covid che continua da ormai quasi un anno. Prima fra tutte è l’urgenza che sentiamo di parlare e di lottare contro il sistema specista in cui viviamo; riteniamo che lo sfruttamento animale e la devastazione degli ecosistemi siano argomenti legati alla situazione attuale e che necessitino di essere discussi sempre. Inoltre, rendersi conto di come essi siano connessi alla diffusione di malattie infettive è un motivo in più per riflettere in modo critico sulle contraddizioni del sistema capitalista.

Riconosciamo che la pandemia di coronavirus è una questione trasversale a tutto quello che facciamo, ma siamo profondamente convint+ che questo non ci debba portare a non organizzare niente o a farlo solo attraverso piattaforme online.

Siamo consapevoli di dover trovare nuove modalità per portare avanti le lotte, modalità che tengano conto tra le altre cose del fatto che non per tuttx la scelta di partecipare comporta lo stesso rischio, ma anche del fatto che il concetto di salute non si limita alla sopravvivenza fisica; il distanziamento sociale e il divieto di svolgere attività che non implicano il mero consumo materiale stanno influendo negativamente sul benessere psico-fisico delle persone. Ciò senza contare l’impatto dell’inasprimento smisurato del controllo e della repressione statale sulle lotte che vogliamo portare avanti; non è sicuramente un caso che, nei momenti in cui il sistema statale-economico-sanitario ha ritenuto il livello dei contagi meno grave, è stata concessa la riapertura delle attività produttive, di consumo e di “svago”, mentre strumenti di dissenso come ad esempio i cortei sono vietati ininterrottamente da un anno.

Lo spazio metterà a disposizione alcune mascherine FFP2; ricordiamo l’importanza del prestare attenzione a chi ci circonda, assicurandosi di non violare il consenso altrui anche per quanto riguarda, in questo caso, le precauzioni per la prevenzione del contagio.

Saturday, March 13, h 15.00: COVID PANDEMIC FROM AN ANTISPECIESISTIC AND ECOLOGICAL PROSPECTIVE

Through the screen of videos and the reading of some texts we are gonna discuss how the exploitation of animals and the Earth is strongly connected to the origin, spread and “solution” of the Covid-19 virus. It will start from the phenomenon of zoonosis, then talk about the extermination of mink and finally address the role of animal testing in the production of vaccines.

Saturday, March 27, h 15.00: ANIMAL RESISTANCE: HOW TO BE SOLIDAL? DISCUSSION ON THE PRACTICES OF ANTISPECIESISM AND RADICAL ECOLOGISM

Short documentaries that recount the experiences of some non-human animals in their search for freedom are going to be screened. This is going to be followed by a reflection on the ways in which solidarity can be brought to non-human prisoners. A debate will be opened on the practices implemented in the history of the antispeciesist struggle. In particular we will discuss the opposition between direct action and ways that consider valid or useful the dialogue with the authorities.

We have been thinking a lot about the motivations that have pushed us to organize political meetings despite the covid pandemic that has been going on for almost a year now. First and foremost is the urgency we feel to talk about and fight against the speciesist system we live in; we believe that animal exploitation and the devastation of ecosystems are topics related to the current situation and that need to be discussed all the time. Moreover, realizing how they are connected to the spread of infectious diseases is one more reason to reflect critically on the contradictions of the capitalist system.
We recognize that the coronavirus pandemic is a cross-cutting issue in everything we do, but we are deeply convinced that this should not lead us to not organize anything or to do so only through online platforms.
We are aware that we have to find new ways to carry out the struggles, ways that take into account, among other things, the fact that not for all the people the choice to participate involves the same risk, but also the fact that the concept of health is not limited to physical survival; social distancing and the prohibition to carry out activities that do not involve mere material consumption are negatively affecting the psycho-physical well-being of people. This is without counting the impact of the disproportionate tightening of state control and repression on the struggles we want to carry on; it is certainly not a coincidence that, at times when the state-economic system has deemed the level of contagion less serious, the reopening of production, consumption and “leisure” activities has been allowed, while instruments of dissent such as marches have been banned continuously for a year.

There are gonna be some FFP2 masks for who needs them; we remember the importance of paying attention to those around us, making sure not to violate the consent of others also with regard, in this case, to precautions for the prevention of contagion.

The events are gonna be held in italian but there is the possibility to have access to english translation if needed. Besides, the materials that are gonna be discussed are available also in english.

A través de la proyección de vídeos y la lectura de algunos textos se debatirá de cómo la explotación animal y de la tierra está fuertemente conectada al origen, a la difusión y a la “solución” del virus covid-19. Se partirá del fenómeno de la zoonosis, para luego hablar del exterminio de visones y, finalmente, afrontar el papel de la experimentación animal en la producción de las vacunas.

Sábado 27 de Marzo a las 15h: RESISTENCIA ANIMAL: ¿COMO SER SOLIDARIX? DEBATE SOBRE LAS PRÁCTICAS DEL ANTIESPECISMO Y DEL ECOLOGISMO RADICAL.

Se proyectarán breves documentales que cuentan las experiencias de búsqueda de la libertad de algunos animales no humanos. Seguidamente, habrá una reflexión respecto a las modalidades en que se puede ofrecer solidaridad a lxs presxs no humanxs. Se abrirá un debate sobre las prácticas desplegadas en la historia de la lucha antiespecista. Particularmente se discutirá sobre la oposición entre acción directa y modalidades que consideran el diálogo con las autoridades.

Hemos reflexionado mucho sobre las motivaciones que nos han empujado a organizar encuentros políticos, no obstante la pandemia de covid que continúa desde hace ya casi un año. La primera de todas es la urgencia que sentimos de hablar y luchar contra el sistema especista en el que vivimos; creemos que la explotación animal y la devastación de los ecosistemas son cuestiones relacionadas con la situación actual y que necesitan ser debatidas siempre. Además, darse cuenta de cómo estas cuestiones están conectadas a la difusión de enfermedades infecciosas y un motivo más para reflexionar críticamente sobre las contradicciones del sistema capitalista.

Reconocemos que la pandemia del coronavirus es un asunto transversal a todo lo que hacemos, pero estamos profundamente convencidxs de que esto no deba llevarnos a no organizar nada o hacerlo solo a través de plataformas online.

Somos conscientes del deber de encontrar nuevas maneras para llevar a cabo las luchas , maneras que tengan en cuenta, entre otras cosas, el hecho de que no para todxs la elección de participar comporta el mismo riesgo, pero también del hecho de que el concepto de salud no se limita a la supervivencia física; la distancia social y la prohibición de desarrollar actividades que no implican el mero consumo material están influyendo negativamente sobre el bienestar psíquico-físico de las personas. Eso sin contar con el impacto de la desmesurada intensificación del control y la represión estatal sobre las luchas que queremos llevar adelante; no es seguramente casualidad que, en los momentos en que el sistema económico-sanitario ha considerado el nivel de contagio menos grave, ha sido concedida la reapertura de las actividades productivas, de consumo y de “entretenimiento”, mientras herramientas de disenso, por ejemplo las manifestaciones, están prohibidas ininterrumpidamente desde hace un año.

El espacio pondrá a disposición algunas mascarillas FFP2; recordamos la importancia de prestar atención a quien nos rodea, asegurándonos de no infringir el consentimiento ajeno también incluyendo, en este caso, las precauciones para la prevención del contagio.

Los eventos serán en italiano pero habrá la posibilidad de acceder a la traducción inglesa si es necesario. Además, los materiales que se van a utilizar estan disponibles tambien en inglés.
